End of night flights at Frankfurt airport

A German court has just ordered Frankfurt airport to put an end to night flights in order to protect the peace and quiet of local residents.

Business travel to and through Frankfurt airport is about to experience some difficult weeks. The Administrative Court of Hesse has just forced the German hub to suspend night flights - between 11pm and 5am - following a complaint lodged by several local residents. Frankfurt airport will therefore have to bring itself into line from 21 October, and hope for a more favourable court ruling at federal level.
