Ennismore: Accor's lifestyle subsidiary hits the 100 mark

With the opening of SO/Paris, Ennismore, Accor's lifestyle hotel subsidiary, now has 100 hotels. This is a milestone in its global expansion, which is set to continue over the coming years.

This hundredth hotel symbolises the links between lifestyle hotelier Ennismore and its main shareholder, Accor. It was in Paris, on the banks of the Seine, that its subsidiary dedicated to developing contemporary hotels passed the 100-establishment mark with the unveiling in early September of the SO/Paris. Part of the project to transform the former Cité administrative on boulevard Morland, the hotel is intended to be a " the new standard for an absolutely Parisian art of living" according to its director, Stéfan Viard. Chic, definitely fashionWith its unique views over the capital, the SO/Paris offers 162 rooms, including 22 contemporary suites, a spa and fitness centre with swimming pool, a restaurant-bar-club - the Bonnie - run by Paris Society, and a workspace combining coworking and creative meeting rooms.

This new pennant is the latest addition to the range offered by the joint venture incorporated in October 2021 between the French group and the parent company of lifestyle brand The Hoxton. Reaching the hundredth property so early in our project is a considerable achievement" said Sharan Pasrichaco-CEO of Ennismore and founder of The Hoxton. It has to be said, however, that the company did not start from scratch, taking under its wing from the outset a good many 80 hotels under lifestyle brands acquired over time by Accor such as 25Hours, Mama Shelter, 21c Museum or those of the American group SLS, in addition to its in-house brands such as Tribe or Jo&Joe.

Ennismore's expansion, marked in recent months by the opening of a Mama Shelter and a Tribe in the La Défense business district, a Hoxton in Barcelona or a 25 Hours in Dubai, will continue on a global scale. More than 35 lifestyle hotels expected next yearThese include business destinations such as Sydney, which is expecting a 25hours, Dubai, which will see the opening of a Mama Shelter and an SO/, Bangkok, with a Tribe in the pipeline, and closer to home, a Hoxton in Brussels and the Mondrian Bordeaux.

Over the next few years, we hope to extend our adventure to Belgium, Canada, China, Ireland, Malta, the Philippines, Uruguay and Vietnam." Gaurav Bhushan, Ennismore's other co-CEO, added: "With the signing of around 30 new hotels over the course of 2022, the group has a pipeline of nearly 160 hotels. Among the latest developments announced is that ofa Tribe in Warsaw. This fast-growing brand is due to open near the Polish capital's airport, in the Wlochy district. All of this will take place within the Fort 7 complex, designed as a new sustainable district combining offices, housing, shops and, of course, a 266-room Tribe hotel.

Alongside this hotel development, Ennismore intends to extend the reach of its Working From_ coworking brand, so far present in two Hoxton hotels, those in London Southwark and Chicago Fulton Market. While the future Hoxton in Brussels will be located in the former IBM headquarters in Belgium, this establishment will also offer a shared workspace spread over five floors. Above all, Ennismore plans to extend this business concept to its other brands, including Mondrian, Tribe and Mama Shelter. The lifestyle counterpart to Wojo so to speak.
