The EuroAirport is already linked by bus to the SBB (Swiss Federal Railways), SNCF and DB (Deutsche Bahn) rail networks. via Basel, Saint-Louis and Freiburg stations. Better access to neighbouring German territory
The new cross-border regional bus service 220 "FREUND" is the first direct bus service between Germany and France on the Upper Rhine. The bus runs every hour from Lörrach bus station to the airport. It even runs every half-hour at peak times. There are also connections with the DB rail network and the Regio-S-Bahn in Lörrach.
This service operates in parallel with the Freiburger Airportbus. Managed by Flixbus, this line links the EuroAirport to Freiburg im Breisgau every hour in 60 minutes. Both lines are accessible from the French sector of the airport.
Bus route 50, operated by Basel Public Transport (BVB), still operates in Basel. This line stops in front of Basel main station SBB/SNCF. The link to Mulhouse, on the other hand, is the least convenient.. Passengers have to take a shuttle bus (line 11) to Saint-Louis station to get to the TER. At an additional cost of just €2.50 for this journey of less than ten minutes...
The new EuroAirport-Lörrach bus service via Saint-Louis is part of the plan to improve public transport services to the airport, the offering on the Franco-Swiss platform remains well below that of its neighbours.
