MEPs approve "EU COVID-19 certificate" for travellers

On 28 April, Members of the European Parliament approved the introduction of the digital green certificate, which will once again allow travel within the European Union. This decision has been applauded by those responsible for the transport and travel sector. The green certificate officially becomes the "EU COVID-19 certificate".

Europe's aviation, travel and tourism sectors* have issued a statement in which they welcome the European Parliament's vote on the proposal for an EU regulation on a digital green certificate. This vote paves the way for technical negotiations between the Parliament, the European Council and the European Commission.
