A bad patch for travellers wishing to reach the United Kingdom. A cascade of cancelled or delayed flightscongestion in the port of Dover and now problems on theEurostar. A train incident on Sunday has already disrupted the line's timetable on Monday 25 July. According to a Eurostar spokesman, trains had to be diverted onto conventional lines, causing delays and cancellations. However, the situation should return to normal before tomorrow. But the rest of the week promises to be just as complicated. The line Eurostar will undergo the rail strike in the UK on 27 July.
Although this strike does not directly affect Eurostar staff, train operations will still be affected. Operating hours will be reduced on British rail lines, including the high-speed line used by Eurostar.
The five evening trains from Paris on the 27th have been cancelled. This measure will affect passengers from 5pm. From London, three trains will be cancelled from 19:01 on 27 July. The Eurostar leaving London at 6.01pm will be brought forward to 5.31pm. On 28 July, the first 6.01am train from London will not be running.
On the Brussels/Lille to London route, two Eurostar trains will be cancelled in the evening: the 6.52pm (Brussels)/7.35pm (Lille) and the 8.56pm/21.33pm trains. The 17:56 train from Brussels will depart at 17:05 but will not stop in Lille. In the opposite direction, the 08:16 Eurostar on 27 July will not be running.
