From July 2022, customers of the airline Eurowings will benefit exclusively from Miles & MoreLufthansa's frequent flyer programme. Programme members have access to a number of benefits which are not generally available to customers of low-cost airlines. These include earn and redeem miles with around 40 airline partners and over 150 non-airline partners. They will also be able to earn miles by shopping in over 500 online shops, and redeem miles by booking hotels and hire cars.
This transfer to Miles & More strengthens Eurowings' positioningby giving it a more hybrid status than that of a low-cost carrier. As Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, was quick to point out: "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers the best possible service. By transferring our customers to the Miles & More world, we not only offer an attractive loyalty programme, but also another clear differentiation from low-cost competitors" he stressed.
Boomerang Club ends on 30 June 2022
Le Eurowings Boomerang Club will be abolished on 30 June 2022. Until then, customers can continue to earn Boomerang Club miles on all Eurowings flights and with programme partners. The miles earned can then be exchanged for a Eurowings award flight for a maximum of twelve months. From 1 July 2022, Boomerang Club miles can also be converted into Miles & More miles..
Barclays Eurowings credit cards remain valid and can still be used. Customers can continue to earn Boomerang Club miles on purchases until 23 June 2022. New provisions are to be adopted to allow Miles & More miles to be collected thereafter.
