A point-to-point airline with a simplified service offering, Eurowings is beginning to recover some of its business traffic. The carrier indicates feeling an increase in premium demand. It therefore responds with 30% of additional frequencies from September onwards. "We can clearly see that after the end of the summer holidays, demand for business flights has risen sharply", says Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings.
"Many business travellers want to visit their contacts and are booking their flights now. Although we have not yet reached pre-covid levels, the flow of bookings clearly shows that this segment is becoming more normal. We are responding by increasing our range of 30%s and adding capacity to our BIZ class." he adds.
In Düsseldorf, Eurowings' largest base with around 100 destinations, the company will offer 10,000 additional seats to and from Berlin, Milan and Zurich. The airline also offers two daily flights to seven other cities. These include Geneva and Lyon. It also operates services on the French market to Düsseldorf-Marseille (three flights/week) and Düsseldorf-Nice (9 flights/week).
Eurowings offers six weekly flights alternately to North Rhine-Westphalia between Nice and Cologne/Bonn.
Visit HamburgEurowings, which serves more than 50 cities, is strengthening its services to Amsterdam, Milan, Munich and Vienna. The airline also serves twice daily Paris-CDG as well as 5 times a week Nice.
Finally, and this is essential for business travellers, Eurowings has announced that its timetable reliability has been restored to near-perfection. The company claims that 99% of its timetable frequencies are well covered.
