So it's against this very special backdrop that FCM Travel has just announced the launch of its new Meeting & Events department dedicated to French market. The business travel agency has set up a team of five employees, based in Paris. The aim of the new FCM France Meetings and Events department is to offer a local service tailored to the current environment and new market expectations. Its managers plan to cover " the organisation ofhybrid eventswhere it is possible to take part either face-to-face or remotely ".

Like other TMCs, FCM Travel Solutions France intends to capitalise on the closer links between business travel and the meetings and events sector, as Solenn Le Brazidec, General Manager of the agency in France, explains: "FCM Travel Solutions France is a major player in the meetings and events sector. We are aware that the market is moving more and more towards 'Travel & Events', with an even more specific need that is in line with current events and backed up by the use of professional tools. Travel managers and business travellers give their predictions

In the run-up to the launch of the FCM France Meetings and Events division, the business travel agency surveyed a number of companies in France. 1600 travel managers and business travellers on an international scale. According to the survey conducted by TMC's consulting arm, "4D", 40% of those polled are expecting a return of the domestic travel within 1 to 3 months. As for the international business travelA third (32%) of professionals will have to wait between 6 and 12 months. According to the data shared by FCM, the zones Asia and EMEA would be the quickest to get back on the road to business travel: 50% of those questioned in Asia have already resumed booking domestic trips. Conversely, the Americas region is the most cautious, with 28% of those surveyed not knowing when they will resume their travel plans.
