EasyJet goes into Starlink mode

EasyJet announced today a partnership with SpaceX. The Starlink service, based on a constellation of satellites in low orbit, will equip its entire fleet.

Passengers will thus be able to navigate, watch streaming videos and play online from their own devices. The connection will also give them access to flight tracking via the app, destination information and ordering on the in-flight menu from their seat.

easyJet, among other things, has the ambition to attract more business travelers.« In an increasingly digital world, staying connected is now essential for many of our passengers, whether it be holidaymakers looking to relax with the entertainment on offer on board or our business customers eager to stay informed live about what is happening on the ground. », emphasizes Kenton Jarvis, CEO of easyJet. Gwynne Shotwell, president and COO of SpaceX, meanwhile, talks about a «connection" from takeoff to landing ".
