American Airlines to launch Flagship Dining service in early 2017

American Airlines is already unveiling its good resolutions for 2017, by making official the launch in New York (JFK), early next year, of its Flagship Dining concept. This new offer, described as "a major first for a US carrier", will enable business travellers to be served a top-of-the-range meals directly to their table in the airline's lounge. This "complete and free" meal will showcase fresh ingredients and locally sourced, while the Chef will modify the menu according to the season. Following this New York launch, Flagship Dining will be extended over the next year to the hubs where American offers its international three-class service in B777-300ERs: Dallas, Los Angeles and Miami. " Our aim is to offer Chefs' creations and local flavours while providing our travellers with the experience of a 5-star restaurant. "says Fernand Fernandez, Vice President - Global Marketing at American Airlines.

In total, American Airlines is investing more than 3 billion dollars in the passenger experience, notably by renovating the Flagship Lounges at New York-JFK, Los Angeles and Chicago O'Hare from spring 2016, to offer larger, modernised spaces. The Admirals Club lounges will also be renovated in around fifteen airports from next spring.
