This means fares starting at just €4.99. Another innovation: all seats are now guaranteed on reservation. The trains also offer greater comfort following their renovation. Passengers will now find new seats, wifi on board and power sockets for laptops and computers.
40 towns in Germany and presence in Sweden
From the Whitsun weekend, the first trains will run from Cologne to Hamburg and Berlin. A week later, the Flix trains will be running along a line Hamburg-Berlin-Leipzig. In June, the company will inaugurate Berlin-Stuttgart and Frankfurt-Munich. At the same time, FlixTrain to inaugurate its first night-time service. On 17 June, the railway company will link Munich to Hamburg via Berlin.
The major German cities connected to the FlixTrain network include Bremen, Düsseldorf, Essen, Hanover, Jena or even Nuremberg. In September, FlixTrain plans to extend the Berlin-Hamburg line to Kiel.
FlixTrain opened its first rail service outside Germany on 6 May. It operates two to three trains a day between Stockholm and Göteborg with a base price of 129 crowns (€12).
