Opened in 1939, New York's LaGuardia airport is showing its age. By all accounts, the airport is one of the top 10 worst in the world. The city authorities have therefore decided to give it a new lease of life with a vast four billion dollar renovation plan. The initial phase of the work is due to start in early 2016. One of the main aims of the work is to better link the airport's four terminals and bring them together into a single terminal. This redevelopment will be carried out in partnership with Delta, the main operator at the hub with nearly 275 daily departures from terminals A, C and D.
