TGV Lyria is speeding towards the symbolic 6 million passenger mark, thanks to the double-digit increase in traffic recorded in 2013 (+18%). This increase concerns all the routes operated by the Franco-Swiss company, and is explained in particular by the integration of the routes linking Geneva and the South of France within the TGV Lyria network. "The "Lyria" effect - new equipment - and the reorganisation of certain timetables enabled us to end 2013 with an increase of 5% in international traffic" says the company in a press release. The Paris-Basel/Zurich route alone attracted almost 800,000 international passengers, a slight increase on 2012 (+3%).
