33.19 million passengers at Roissy-CDG, 15.96 million passengers at Orly in the first half of 2024. If the two Paris airports continue to record an increase in passenger traffic (for a total of 49.1 million), although this growth has slowed considerably compared with last year. June confirms this slowdown. Passenger traffic at Roissy rose by 3.5%, and at Orly by 3.4%. Compared with 2019, passenger numbers at Roissy reached a rate of 91.3%. While traffic at Orly is almost 100% below its pre-Covid level.
The disruptive factor in the resumption of traffic in Paris is the domestic. It continues to collapse. Over the first six months of 2024, it fell by 6%. Fine performances from Asia, North America and Africa
Internationally, traffic to Europe up 4.2% from one half-year to the next. On long-haul routes, Asia-Pacific recorded the best performance35.3 % between 2023 and 2024. Asia-Pacific routes thus return to 83.1 % of their 2019 level. As a probable consequence of the resumption of direct traffic flows between Paris and Asia, the number of passengers on Middle East routes fell by 3.11 % over the first six months.
LNorth America continues to post record figures. In the first half of 2024, passenger growth reached 7.8 %. This puts traffic 6.3% above its 2019 level.
And finally.., Africa continues to make good progress. Passenger traffic over six months was up by 6.6%. The total number of passengers to Africa from Paris is therefore 13% above its 2019 levels.
