Hop! Air France: the Navette gets a facelift

Lionel Guérin unveils La Navette's new visual identity

Inevitably, his arrival somewhat overshadowed, at least in part, the event to which journalists were invited on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower. Inevitably, recent events put him in the spotlight. He is, of course, outgoing CEO Alexandre de Juniac, whose appointment as head of IATA was made official this week. After taking part in a question-and-answer session on his personal situation - "My successor must go even faster than I did", as the future ex-chief executive of the group would say - the Air France and Hop directors took over the day's events dedicated to the airline. News marked by the rebirth of the Shuttle under new colours. Twenty years after its launch, and 100 million passengers later, the New Shuttle "is getting a facelift, in line with the commercial strategy to relaunch the short-haul business of JOP! Air France's short-haul business over the past year", explain the airline's management.

The airports of Toulouse, Bordeaux, Marseille and Nice, already linked to Orly by the Shuttle, have now been joined by Montpellier. On these five routes, which will operate almost 1,000 flights a week, business travellers will soon be able to benefit from an accelerated journey. Air France guarantees a journey time of less than twenty minutes from arrival at the airport to the boarding gate. The digitisation of the journey will play a major role in this, while the positioning of aircraft at the same boarding gates should help passengers to reach their flight on "autopilot"...

Alongside this new impetus given to the Shuttle offer, HOP! Air France has presented a new fare offer: the youth card will come into effect on 12 April, offering up to 30% in discounts to 12-24 year olds on the domestic network, for an annual subscription fee of 49 euros. These new features should enable the airline to continue on its path towards profitability, scheduled for 2017.
