Hyatt Place takes off in Europe: Amsterdam, while waiting for Heathrow and Zurich

The Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport hotel officially opened its doors on 31 January, marking the brand's arrival in the Netherlands. Above all, it also paves the way for the mid-range brand's new European ambitions, which will take shape in two other business destinations - London and Zurich - with a continued focus on airports to target business travellers.

Focused on its domestic market since its inception in 2006, Hyatt Place is now looking to new horizons. With a portfolio of 180 hotels, the vast majority of which are in the United States, the mid-range brand is stepping up its projects in Latin America, Asia and Europe. The inauguration of the Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport hotel marks the arrival of the mid-range brand in Europe's first major business destination. The 330-key property is linked to Schiphol Airport by a shuttle service, and offers free Wi-Fi access, self-service computers and 367 m² of flexible meeting space. This new address marks a turning point in the brand's expansion, and will be joined in spring 2015 by another Hyatt Place representative in London. Once again, the Hyatt group has focused on an air hub, unveiling the Hyatt Place London Heathrow/Hayes project at the end of January, just fifteen minutes from London airport. The establishment will have 170 rooms and almost 200 m² of meeting space, as well as a fitness centre and - as always - free Wi-Fi access. This momentum will continue in 2017 with the opening of another Hyatt Place representative at Zurich airport.
