It's almost surprising, but until now a group on the scale of Hyatt had no presence in Portugal, either in the Algarve, Porto or Lisbon. This anomaly is no longer so with the debut of a Hyatt Regency in the Portuguese capital. To make its entry into the Portuguese market, the American hotelier has set up on the banks of the Tagus, in the Belem district. In other words, not far from tourist highlights such as the Belem Tower, the Hieronymites Monastery and MAAT, a museum dedicated to art, architecture and technology, as well as the CCL, Lisbon's congress centre.
Backed by United Investments Portugal, which is also a shareholder in Yotel and owner of the Sheraton resort in Cascais, this new hotel is the result of the construction of a contemporary complex of 204 rooms, the majority of which are suites - 105 -.Some have balconies overlooking the river. Soothing blues, oak wood and the latest technology all combine to create a sophisticated atmosphere.
To help business travellers relax, the Hyatt Regency Lisbon boasts a 1,000 m2 spa managed by the Portuguese wellness brand "Serenity - The Art of Well Being", as well as the following facilities four bars and restaurants. These include its main restaurant and bar, Viseversa, and Zest, for healthy lunches and snacks overlooking the garden. The hotel is still waiting to open its gourmet restaurant and its rooftop barwhich will be open to the public in the coming months.
Businesses will find at the hotel 420 m of MICE space2 with six areas, including a large 220 m² meeting room that can be divided into four 42 m² boardrooms. Overlooking the garden on the ground floor, the main meeting room allows participants to take advantage of the Garden Courtyard for convivial outdoor moments during and after their meetings.
In addition, the hotel has a multifunctional mezzanine, called Vista, where hotel guests can come to sip a coffee or glass of wine or read a magazine during the day. A space that also lends itself to informal meetingsor events in an original setting, such as a presentation or product launch.
