Iberia: Premium Economy unveiled

Iberia presented its new Premium Economy cabin on 20 April. The cabin will be available on board five Airbus aircraft this summer.

Announced last October, the Premium Economy thought by Iberia is now a reality. The airline brought together its partners and the media on 20 April in Madridto present the first aircraft equipped with the new cabin, a Airbus A340/600. Four other Airbus aircraft will be fitted with this new equipment during the Iberian carrier's summer operations. From May, this Premium Economy will be flying to New Yorkof Chicagoand Bogota. This will be followed by Mexicoin June, followed by Miami (July) and finally Boston in August.

On board, the layout of the new class will guarantee 20% of additional space between each seat, which will be able to recline further (+40%). The entertainment system (IFE) is also included: passengers will be faced with a 12" Full HD screen, compared with 9" in economy class, along with noise-cancelling headphones and USB ports. A welcome drink and a special menu are also on the menu for this new Iberia premium.
