La Cantine du Troquet Dupleix: a real bistro with a Basque accent

It's one of those brasseries that the whole world envies. After a well-deserved success with his Troquet canteen in the Pernety district, Christian Etchebest (formerly of Constant) has decided to embark on a new adventure with this second canteen, this time on boulevard de Grenelle.

The place may be new, but the recipes are the same, and that's just as well. The same bistro atmosphere with its simple wooden tables and impeccably polished counter. The same Basque-inspired cuisine, with magnificent charcuterie straight from Hasparren, roast shoulder of pork and real mashed potatoes, accompanied by a glass of Irouleguy, swordfish or sea bream grilled a la plancha. The desserts, too, take their cue from the best of the Parisian brasserie's repertoire: poached pear, lukewarm rice pudding...

Menu around 30-40 euros.
