Latam brings Bogota closer to Europe

Latam plans to launch services on the Madrid-Bogota route in July, its fifth route between South America and Spain.

Latam Airlines Group is preparing for the launch of a new air route connecting Madrid in Bogotathe capital of Colombia. This new route will be a first for the airline. Latam will be competing with three other airlines on this route, one of the best served between Spain and South America. Avianca offers up to four daily flights, Iberia three flights and Air Europa one daily flight between Madrid and Bogota.

The inauguration of the Latam flight is scheduled for 3 July 2024 from Bogotá. The frequency will be daily and carried out in Boeing 787-8 with 247 seats. The flight will depart from and arrive in Santiago de Chile.. The carrier has been granted fifth freedom rights by the Colombian authorities.

In addition to Bogota, Latam operates four other non-stop routes between Latin America and Spain Lima (Peru), Santiago de Chile and Sao Paulo Guarulhos to Madrid. And between Sao Paulo Guarulhos and Barcelona.
