
The Hilton Group, present in Lisbon since 2013 with a hotel DoubleTreewill soon be expanding its footprint in the Portuguese capital. The hotelier has two establishments there, with the addition of a member of the Curio Collection, The Emerald House, at the beginning of 2022. It will have soon five with the announcement of three new signings.
In spring 2024, the Curio Collection by Hilton, a group of upmarket boutique hotels, will welcome the Duo Hotel Lisbon, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. a traditional 19th century buildinge century coupled with a new building, all linked by an inner courtyard for al fresco dining. In addition to 75 elegant rooms and its restaurant, the hotel will also offer meeting space, a bar and a pasteleria.
As part of this partnership with Feuring Asset Management, the Hilton Group will also take over the management of two new hotels expected to open in the near future. Starting with a budget hotel from Hampton Expected to open in 2025, the Hampton by Hilton Lisbon Baixa will offer 157 rooms and a lively atmosphere, including a rooftop with an outdoor swimming pool.
A little later, in 2026, the lifestyle brand Canopy by Hilton will follow in Hampton's footsteps, its entrance into the heart of the Portuguese capitalJust a few steps from the Time Out Market. The Canopy by Hilton Lisbon Praça Sao Paulo will have 84 rooms, a lively lobby and, for business travellers, 120 square metres of meeting space.
" Strengthening our presence in the capital a key element in our growth in Portugal" said Carlos Miro, Hilton's Managing Director of Development for Spain and Portugal. This is a country where the American group plans to more than double in size, with 11 hotels in the pipeline, compared with nine currently open.
