Louvre Hotels equips itself with recharging stations

The Louvre Hotels group is to deploy hubs of ultra-fast recharging stations with the operator Electra, for use by hotel guests as well as private individuals and visiting professionals.

With the rise of electric cars, it will be much easier for hotel guests and visiting professionals alike to recharge their vehicles at the hotel. Last year, the Radisson group unveiled a partnership with Allego to develop a network of recharging solutions in all its hotels in Europe by 2025. More recently, as part of its 2022-2025 vision, the French Best Western network announced its ambition to see 30 % parking spaces of its 300 hotels equipped with recharging stations.

Louvre Hotels, which owns the Campanile, Kyriad, Première Classe and Golden Tulip brands, has recently joined this trend. Through its start-up Weboost, created in-house to provide hoteliers with solutions for make the most of their under-exploited spacethe group has signed an agreement with charging point operator Electra. The aim is to deploy ultra-fast recharging hubs on the hotel group's sites. By the end of 2022, 20 hubs, or more than 80 recharging points, should be installed in hotels located in the following areas dense urban areas.

Recharging available to all at Louvre Hotels

These hubs will be accessible to everyone, from hotel guests to private travellers or taxi and VTC drivers, who will be able to take advantage of the hotel's services while their vehicle recharges. " The hotel, a central business in towns and suburbs, is a key location for the ecological and social transition" said Marie Nonell, the Group's CSR Director. " This ambitious project will bring ultra-fast recharging to city centres, complementing that currently installed on motorways." explained Aurélien de Meaux, CEO of Electra.

The terminals offered by Electra are of a power from 150 to 300 kW. Charging costs €0.44/kWh incl. VAT. It can be paid for using the app, a recharge pass or a bank card. The app also directs drivers to the nearest recharging points so they can reserve their place.

Note that on 16 June 2022, Les Rencontres Flotauto Parisheld at the Paris Event Center, will showcase solutions from 250 exhibitors specialising in business vehicle management and low-carbon mobility, including some forty exhibitors specialising in charging points.
