How do you make your own crowns to braid? And start the month of April with joy and good humour? The German company Lufthansa found: she is publishing a book full of praise – or almost – for her first 100 years.

In an official statement, Lufthansa announces that the book "Lufthansa – The First 100 Years" takes readers on a journey through the development of the German airline, from its bold beginnings in the 1920s to the modern era. Almost 400 pages, illustrated with historical photos, advertising posters, documents, and graphics, tell the marvellous story of Lufthansa from its origins to its post-war revival and its current positioning as a global group. Without, however, omitting the important role the German carrier played during the Nazi era.

The work was published on March 18, initially in German. However, Lufthansa indicates that an English edition is in preparation to guarantee global success. As for those eagerly awaiting the second volume, they will have to wait until the airline's 200th anniversary.

For enthusiasts who wish to acquire this opus, Lufthansa indicates that they can go to a bookshop, which is very sensible advice. Perhaps with the added bonus of having the book signed by Andreas Bartels, the Lufthansa Group's communications manager.
