The recent bombing by Israel on a meeting held at theIran at Syria has raised fears of an escalation of violence between the two countries. Or indeed in the whole region. Iran and Israel threatened each other with attacks on Wednesday.

Tension that pushes Lufthansa to suspend its Frankfurt-Tehran flight until 13 April but the measure could be extended. The airline group is the only one in Western Europe still flying to the Iranian capital with Lufthansa since Frankfurt and Austrian Airlines since Vienna.

According to the Austrian press, Austrian flights are not currently affected by the suspension. However flight schedules are rescheduled with later departures from Vienna. In order to keep stopover times as short as possible. And no longer allow on-board staff to spend the night in Iran.
