Strategy - Lufthansa: €2.8 billion to improve passenger comfort

"Lufthansa continues to invest in the comfort of its passengers," said Thierry Antinori in his last speech as Vice President Marketing of Lufthansa at the ITB Berlin Air Show.

"While we await the introduction of an even more revolutionary product with the delivery of the Boeing 747-800s, we are offering a product consisting of a rest area with a very comfortable sleeper seat and a classic seat for meals or leisure. We have also installed a new noise insulation system, which makes our First one of the quietest cabins in the world!"he adds.

The airline is also inaugurating lounges in Frankfurt, Delhi, Boston and Dubai and is gradually introducing the use of the Internet on board. This summer, Lufthansa serves 211 destinations in 84 countries. New destinations include Antalya, Ibiza, Palermo and Trondheim in Norway.
