Lufthansa paralysed by strike action at its Frankfurt and Munich hubs

Virtually all Lufthansa flights were cancelled on 2 September at Frankfurt and Munich airports due to a massive pilots' strike.

No less than 800 flights have been cancelled Friday by LufthansaThe airline's operations have been paralysed by a strike organised by the Vereinigung Cockpit pilots' union. In other words, almost all of the company's operations to and from its airports have been suspended. hubs from Frankfurt and Munich is at a standstill. All in all, 130,000 passengers are expected to be affected, with the impact of the strike likely to continue over the weekend. Note that the company Eurowingsa subsidiary of Lufthansa, is not affected.
