The attractiveness of the Dubai hub remains undiminished: with more than 50 million travellers welcomed in 2011, Dubai International Airport recorded strong growth (+8 %) compared with the previous year. This growth was mainly driven by Eastern Europe, whose market grew by more than 80%. Nevertheless, airport officials are planning to speed up the development of the hub, thanks in particular to the new Terminal 3: in time, annual capacity should reach 90 million passengers.
