40 minutes minimum with departure. This is now the boarding time imposed by the omani airport authorities at the international airport of Muscat. This measure came into force on 4 August. It requires passengers to be in the international departure area 40 minutes before the flight's actual departure.
This means thattravellers must have passed security and passport checks earlier than their departure date. However, access to the aircraft remains open until 20 minutes before the flight.
In this way, the authorities hope to ease the flow of traffic before entering the restricted area and the boarding lounge.
