Almost every year adds a new chapter to the Eklo group. Following the opening of its Parisian flagship in 2024 in close proximity to the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, then the expansion of its hotel in Bordeaux in 2025, the economic and ecological chain has just added another major French city to its list of destinations: Nantes.
Located in the Île de Nantes district, opposite the famous Machines, the brand's tenth establishment, as usual, relies on a hybrid accommodation offering with 86 rooms, including 51 double rooms but also 22 rooms that can accommodate 3 to 4 people. As for the dormitories for 6 to 8 people, which can be privatised or not, there are 13 of them.
Among the group's habits, Eklo has adopted another one since the opening of its hotel in Montpellier in 2023: integrating the French Kiss concept into its establishments, namely a stylish retro-looking guinguette bar-restaurant focused on signature sharing dishes and 100%% French cocktails. In parallel, as recently in Bordeaux, the Nantes hotel adds a coffee shop, the French Kiss Café.
While transient travellers and local patrons will enjoy pleasant moments of relaxation, both spaces can also be hired for corporate events. Fully adaptable to the needs of seminars, meetings or events, the 250 m² French Kiss restaurant can accommodate up to 110 seated covers indoors and 150 people in cocktail style, while the 150 m² French Kiss Café can host up to 66 people seated and 90 people for cocktails. With a direct view of the Machines de l’Île as an asset for both.
Built to sustainable standards - recognised by the 'Very good' level of the BREEAM label - and furnished by committed suppliers, the Eklo Nantes symbolises the CSR commitment of the group's other establishments, all of which have the Green Key label. After Nantes, new hotels are expected to follow suit, with a new opening in Paris in autumn 2027, at Porte de Saint-Ouen, as part of an urban development project combining offices, shops and a 110-room hotel, followed by the chain's arrival in Marseille and Reims in 2028. At the same time, extension work will be undertaken at the Eklo hotel in Marne-la-Vallée, with completion scheduled for mid-2027.
