BCD Travel's new French business centre in the Irisium building offers 1,000 m² of office space to the twenty or so employees already working at the Euralille site. Ultimately, it is intended to bring together around a hundred agents, who will complete the workforce of TMC, which is already based in Montpellier and Paris. The proximity of the centre to the capital was a logical choice for the business travel agency, in addition to the dynamism of the Lille metropolitan area and its training in tourism: "The influence of the Euralille business centre and its proximity to European capitals weighed in the balance when making this strategic choice," notes Heinz Jennewein, Senior Vice President EMEA South-East at BCD Travel. "The Lille region offers an excellent employment pool, with several tourism colleges close by," adds Valérie Sasset, Managing Director of BCD Travel France. "We will also be hosting the INFA (Institut National de Formation et d'Application) training institute on our premises, where travel consultants will be trained. It's a choice that will enable us to become part of the local fabric and contribute to greater professionalism through the training provided by the INFA, while building up a pool of travel agents specialising in business travel to support our growth".
