Four Seasons now has a second London hotel, adding to the luxury Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane. This time, it's not the edge of Hyde Park that welcomes the Canadian group, but the City's business district. Housed in a listed building - the former headquarters of the London Port Authority, which was used in a James Bond film - the Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square has 100 rooms, the interior design of which was entrusted to Bruno Moinard. The hotel also houses 41 residences and a private club.
On the dining front, in addition to The Rotunda lounge bar, hotel guests will be able to enjoy the talents of Anne-Sophie Pic, the three-star French chef who oversees the La Dame de Pic restaurant. Another restaurant combining the flavours of China and Japan will complete the offer next spring. Both restaurants offer private dining rooms for private lunches and dinners.
The venue, which has hosted a reception for the United Nations General Assembly, also lends itself to prestigious events. The wood panelling of the Grand Salon des Nations Unies is ideal for receptions of over 200 people. At the same time, the Merchant's Hall offers a wide range of layout options and can accommodate up to 70 people for a cocktail reception. Three other meeting rooms are also available for organising corporate events.
Almost at the same time as the London hotel, the Canadian group inaugurated another establishment in the heart of a business district, that of Tianjin in China. The port city, 30 minutes from Beijing by high-speed train, is home to a 259-room hotel, including 44 suites, with five restaurants and bars. Business travellers can take advantage of an Executive Lounge with a private meeting room and a business centre. At the same time, the Four Seasons Tianjin has almost 3,000 m2 of space dedicated to meetings and events, with two ballrooms and around ten meeting rooms.
Following these two openings, the Canadian hotelier expects further developments in 2017, notably in Kuwait and Tunis, as well as more leisure-oriented establishments in the Seychelles, Florida and Megève at the end of the year, the result of the renovation of the Hôtel du Mont d'Arbois and its chalets. In the longer term, other business cities will see the emergence of the luxury brand, with projects underway in Madrid, Montreal, Philadelphia, São Paulo, Bangkok, Bangalore and Kuala Lumpur. Boston and Tokyo will have the privilege of welcoming a second Four Seasons.
