The spirit of the place according to Ailyn Pérez

Soprano Ailyn Perez made her debut at New York's Metropolitan Opera in 2015, in the role of Carmen. Since then, she has sung the Countess Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro, and Juliette by Gounod this spring.

"When I'm in New York, I naturally spend a lot of time in the Lincoln Center area, where the opera is located. One of the places I frequent in the area is the opera house boutique, where I always find the most beautiful jewellery. I also like to go to Century 21, across the street, to buy last-minute accessories for a performance.
