Onefinestay, the specialist in the rental of private residences with hotel services, is expanding its range of luxury flats. After London, Paris, Rome, New York, Los Angeles and Miami, the AccorHotels subsidiary, considered to be the luxury version of Airbnb, has just announced the launch of "Collections", a series of new destinations in the United States and Europe. Onefinestay is expanding its portfolio to include some very select new tourist regions, including the Hamptons in the United States and soon Southern California. Onefinestay will also soon be offering rentals on the Côte d'Azur and in Edinburgh. "These Collections will be our first openings in mainly tourist destinations, and are a natural extension inspired by the needs of our guests", explains Keyvan Nilforoushan, onefinestay's Deputy Managing Director. One of the aims of the French hotel group's acquisition of the brand in 2016 was to accelerate its development, with the aim of covering 40 new cities over the next five years.
The launch of Collections comes just days after AccorHotels announced that it was in negotiations to acquire TravelKeys, another player in the high-end private residence rental market, whose offering amounts to nearly 5,000 luxury villas in more than 100 destinations including the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa. The transaction is expected to be finalised during the second quarter of 2017. This would bring AccorHotels' offering to 8,500 addresses, demonstrating the group's desire to strengthen its presence in this buoyant segment following the acquisition of onefinestay and the acquisition of stakes in two other rental platforms, Squarebreak and Oasis Collections.
