Qatar Airways strengthens its position in South-East Asia through a new codeshare with Philippine Airlines. This strategic partnership will make it possible to build a quasi air bridge between Doha and ManilaThis will improve connectivity for French passengers travelling to the Philippines via Qatar.
From 16 June 2025, Philippine Airlines will be integrating its flight offer with that of Qatar Airways. The airline currently offers five weekly flights departing from Doha at 10.30am.
From now on, flight PR685 will become a daily service between Doha and Manila. Qatar Airways will codeshare the seven weekly flights operated by Philippine Airlines in the first phase of this strategic cooperation.
Philippine Airlines changes schedules and frequencies to Doha
Travellers from France arriving in Doha on Qatar Airways will have plenty of time to catch a connecting flight to Manila. The Philippine Airlines flight will now take off from Doha at 1.30 a.m.. The flight will land in the afternoon at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), offering potential connections to the rest of the Philippines and several destinations in Asia. Return flight, Flights from Manila will depart daily at 6.50 p.m. arriving in Doha at 23:40. Once again with possible connections to Europe.
This daily non-stop flight from PAL is operated in Airbus A330-300. These appliances are fitted in two-class configurationoffering 18 seat-beds in a Business Class cabinand 341 seats in economy class.
This flight will complement the frequencies already operated by Qatar Airways. The carrier currently offers 18 weekly flights to and from Manila NAIA. Qatar Airways also serves the Clark hub 80 km north of the city - with four weekly flights. As well as Cebuthe country's second largest city, with three flights a week.

PAL strengthened in Europe thanks to Qatar Airways

The two partner airlines plan to explore new opportunities for long-term cooperation. This will include the development of additional destinations on their respective networksandcloser collaboration on their loyalty programmesto offer even more benefits to their regular passengers.
Qatar Airways has a number of partnerships in Asia built essentially on code sharing. This is the case, for example, with Garuda Indonesia, Virgin AustraliaChina Southern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines.
