Cathay and Qatar Airways pull the plug on premium classes

Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways are allowing their passengers not to wear masks during the flight. However, this favour is reserved for passengers in the two carriers' premium classes.

Qatar Airways had already announced a few weeks ago that it was exempting its passengers from the Q Suite Class to wear transparent protection over their masks. While this double protection has been compulsory for all passengers since July, with the application of very strict health measures, it remained "at the discretion of the passenger in Q Suite class".
