Business travellers planning a business trip on the Qantas network at the end of September are likely to be affected by widespread strike action. On 14 September, the TWU union warned that some 3,500 of the airline's baggage and catering staff would embark on 48 hours of industrial action from the morning of 20 September, following an overwhelming staff vote. They are denouncing the restructuring project planned by Qantas, and are expected to disrupt the Australian airline's operations, and therefore business travel.
