
Finnair is now positioning itself on Doha in partnership with Qatar Airways. The two airlines are already working together within the Oneworld alliance. The CEOs of Finnair and Qatar Airways have signed an agreement to the joint operation of three daily non-stop flights from Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm. In Doha, passengers will have access to Qatar Airways' extensive network of connections to Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
Finnish airline to deploy its Airbus A330s equipped with new long-haul cabins. They include the new Air Lounge business class seatsa brand new premium economy class and a renovated traditional economy class. Flights are due to start between November and December.
Düsseldorf, a new European destination for Qatar Airways
While Doha is new for Finnair, the three Scandinavian cities are not new for Qatar Airways, which already has several daily flights.
However, the airline has confirmed that it will be opening a new European stopover. According to Eric Odone, Vice President Sales Europe, Qatar Airways to launch Düsseldorf-Doha route on 15 November. The route will be operated by Boeing 787 with 22 business class seats and 232 economy class seats.
Qatar Airways is increasing its presence in Germany, with three daily flights to Frankfurt since 1 July and 11 weekly flights to Berlin from 2 October.
