Radisson: new projects in Turkey

Istanbul, but also Izmir, Bursa and Mersin: Radisson, which is aiming to have 100 hotels in Turkey by 2023, has announced several new openings.

The world's leading hotel companies are placing particular emphasis on their development in Turkey. A key market where Hilton is approaching the 100-establishment mark and Accor 80, while Marriott has around fifty, mostly in Istanbul. For its part, the Radisson group is making progress towards its target of 100 hotels by 2030, with the recent announcement of seven new establishments, a Park Inn recently opened in Yalova and six more to come. "Turkey is a cornerstone of our global strategysaid Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Development Director of Radisson Hotel Group. We're excited about expanding our footprint in cities such as İzmir, Bursa, Mersin and Istanbul" .

Already boasting around twenty hotels in this strategic city, the Group is set to expand further with opening at the end of the year Radisson Hotel Istanbul Merter. Located in this leading textile district, not far from the business district, this hotel will offer 267 rooms and suites, three meeting rooms and a ballroom, as well as an indoor swimming pool, a spa and restaurants for relaxation.

Looking further ahead, in the third quarter of 2026, mid-range brand Park Inn plans to set up in the heart of the cityThe Park Inn by Radisson Istanbul Caglayan has 88 rooms, a bar and restaurant, as well as two meeting rooms for small groups.

Further from the city centre, a Radisson Individuals 'light' brand hotel is expected to open in the third quarter of 2026 in the Kagithane district, at the end of the Golden Hornon the European bank. The Premier Hotel Kagithane Istanbul, with its 800 m² wellness area and indoor swimming pool, also caters for business travellers, with 78 rooms and suites and a 341 m² ballroom.

Among the group's objectives for Istanbul, Radisson intends to increase the footprint of its Radisson Collection luxury brand, which currently has just one hotel in the city - Ankara is also one of the brand's targets - but is also looking at the introduction of its lifestyle brand Radisson RED in the great Turkish metropolis. In the meantime, it is in the process of making its debut in the country in Izmir, with a 175-room and suite hotel due to open at the end of 2024 in the Point Bornova district.

Among other projects currently underway, the upmarket Radisson Hotel brand is due to open in Mersin in September, close to Adana Şakirpaşa airport and the Turkey's largest portThis will be followed by Bursa in the first quarter of 2025. Finally, a little later, at the beginning of 2027, its Radisson Individuals brand will welcome a new member in the centre of the country, to the north of Konya, the Parsana Konya hotel, which will offer 165 rooms and suites, a restaurant and several meeting rooms.
