
Already represented in Vienna with two Radisson Blu hotels and a member of its Radisson Individuals collection, the Hotel Rathauspark, the eponymous group is opening a fourth establishment in the Austrian capital. For the occasion, his lifestyle brand Radisson RED which is located close to the city centre and a stone's throw from Schottenring underground station.
On the edge of the Leopoldstadt district, the establishment is housed in a new building where Radisson RED has displayed its arty spirit and sense of design, particularly in the 179 rooms and suites with exposed concrete ceilings and picture windows serving as seats to enjoy the view of the Danube Canal and the city centre. A view that hotel guests can also enjoy, and how, at the Istros rooftop bar. Housed in a sort of glass house in the shape of a greenhouse, extended by a terrace, the Istros lends itself to relaxing moments over a cocktail or a glass of wine.
In terms of food and drink, the Radisson RED Vienna houses the Sarai restaurant on the ground floor, focusing on the cuisines of the countries along the Silk Road, with a courtyard when the weather is fine. The central point of the lobby, the Sarai also featuresworkspaces and a lounge for business meetings and dinners. For meetings, the hotel hasa room for 80 peopleThere is also a fully-equipped boardroom with natural light, linked to the courtyard and the Sarai restaurant.
While a first Citadines residence has opened in Vienna in recent weeks, further developments are expected this year in the Austrian capital with IHG's entry of the Grand Hotel into the Vignette Collection and a Hotel Indigo in the pipeline. In a different vein, the lifestyle brand Ruby Hotelswhich has three locations in the city, will be adding a 400-workstation coworking space, Ruby Paul Workspaces, in the 1st arrondissement, in the summer.
