2025 will be a busy year for the Radisson group in France. While the reopening of the Cour des Loges in Lyon, transformed into a Radisson Collection luxury hotel, is expected in the first quarter, the group has just announced two new developmentsone in Rueil-Malmaison and the other in Montpellier. Also expected in the first few months of the year, these openings will be the result of the conversion of existing hotels, aimed primarily at business customers.
" These new signings and conversions mark a crucial stage in our expansion strategy across France" said Valérie Schuermans, VP of Business Development for Western and Central Europe at Radisson Hotel Group. With almost 25 hotels in operation or under development in France, the group will be adding to its portfolio in the Paris region in early 2025 with the Radisson Hotel Paris Rueil-Malmaison thanks to the acquisition of a four-star hotel, the Relais de la Malmaison, set in 2.3 hectares of parkland.
Owned by Turenne Hôtellerie, the hotel is currently undergoing a complete transformation in order to adopt the Radisson brand standards by the end of 2025. However, it will continue to offer the same advantages to business customers, in particular its location close to the business centres of Rueil 2000 and La DéfenseIt is also easily accessible, with the RER A just a 10-minute walk away and quick access to the A86 motorway.
On the banks of the Seine and the Golf de Rueil, in a verdant park of more than two hectares, the future Radisson Paris Rueil-Malmaison is ideal for relaxation, with a spa, two tennis courts that will soon be transformed into padel courts, and a swimming pool. It is also ideal for hosting urban seminars, but in a green setting. The establishment has a vast events area, spread over two buildings and comprising twelve meeting rooms and a 300 m² Orangerie to host various business events. On the F&B side, the hotel will also offer two dining areas, all in a peaceful setting far from the hectic pace of the capital.
Top-of-the-range in Montpellier
The other facility, due to open in France in the first quarter of 2025, is more urban in nature, being located just a few minutes from Place de la Comédie and Le Corum Convention Centre in Paris. MontpellierThe hotel is just a 15-minute walk from Saint Roch station. Previously under the Crowne Plaza banner, the hotel will undergo a renovation phase during 2025 to meet the standards of the upmarket Radisson Blu brand.
In this context, its 144 rooms will be modernised, as will its public areas, which will be adorned with new works of art. The Radisson Blu Montpellier will have a large lobby with bar and an outdoor swimming pool with adjacent terrace. But for business travellers, the establishment also offers a large capacity for meetings and events, with five rooms that can accommodate up to 150 people.
