Smoothing the user experience is one of the strategic issues that car rental companies have been working on for several years now. Sixt has launched a new service in France, available since 3 May at the Nice airport branch. In practical terms, business travellers - Platinum card holders who have booked and checked in online - are notified by text message that they can go directly to the car hire company's car park. There, they choose a vehicle and initial their contract with a Sixt agent, before heading straight to their meeting - or making a diversion to the beach, depending on their timing...
