As it does every year, the Skytrax consultancy, which assesses the quality of the entire air travel chain, from airports to airlines, is revealing the results of the best service providers in the sector. The rankings are based on votes cast by travellers from all over the world. For this 2024 edition, more than 21 million notices from passengers of around 100 nationalities took part in the Skytrax survey between September 2023 and May 2024.
The top 10 certainly includes a classic trio and who alternate their position every year: Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Emirates. In fourth to tenth place are Asian and European airlines: All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, EVA Air, Air France and Swiss. Further down the ranking, British Airways is in 13th place.eIberia 15e and Lufthansa 18e. Among North American airlines, the best remains Delta Air Lines, in 21e position. It is followed by Air Canada (29e in the rankings).
Air France remains at the top
Air France stands out, even though the airline lost two places between 2023 and 2024, dropping from 7e at 9e place. However, the airline was rewarded with three top prizes in recognition of the excellence of its products and services. For the fourth year running, Air France was voted Best airline in Western Europe. The airline also won first place in two categories linked to its La Première offer: best gastronomic offer in a first-class lounge and best gastronomic offer in a second-class lounge. better on-board catering in this travel cabin.

Air France also intends to continue improving its La Première offer. This summer, the airline is inaugurating an exclusive new route and private airport lounge, thanks to the creation of a new vestibule and vast suites. Next winter, it will unveil a completely redesigned La Première cabin. As for the low-cost carriers, there's another crowning glory: Transavia arrived in 5e position, behind Air Asia, Scoot, Volotea and Flynas.
