On 21 August, Starwood announced that it had signed a contract to open its first Aloft hotel in Ukraine. The 320-room hotel, including ten suites, will be located in a new building in the heart of the capital's business district. It will have eight meeting rooms and a reception room equipped with the latest technology. It should be noted that the Aloft Kiev hotel will be joined by another Starwood representative by 2016: a Sheraton will then be established in the Ukrainian capital.
