
Volotea's arrival on the Strasbourg-Munich route is part of a two-year public service delegation contract. It will start operating on 9 April, with two flights a week on Mondays and Thursdays using Airbus A320s. Departure from Strasbourg is scheduled for 8.40am on Mondays - arriving in Munich at 9.50am - and 6.35pm on Thursdays (arriving at 7.45pm). From the Bavarian hub, the Monday flight will take place at 10:25 for an arrival at Strasbourg at 11.40am. On Thursday, the Volotea Airbus will depart from Munich at 8.15pm, arriving at 9.25pm.

It is easy to imagine the role that business travel will play in filling the 21,000 seats planned by Volotea on this route in 2026, as the Director ofStrasbourg Airport. Gilles Tellier notes: " This new link to Munich has been eagerly awaited by our passengers and is an essential asset for members of parliament travelling to Strasbourg. As well as being a major and attractive city, Munich is also an international hub offering connections to the whole world. I am delighted that Volotea has won this tender, strengthening its presence at Strasbourg airport and facilitating exchanges and links between our two regions. ".
