Strike renewed at airports

The strike action launched on Friday by airport security staff has been renewed this Monday. It particularly affects Lyon airport, where 30% of flights were due to be cancelled according to forecasts by Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, the French Minister for Ecology and Transport.

Business travel continued to be disrupted on Monday, following the renewal of the strike by airport security staff. The airports of Roissy, Toulouse and especially Lyon, where a third of flights were due to be cancelled, are the worst affected by the disruption. New negotiations are scheduled for early afternoon on Monday to find a solution to the dispute, which is stalling over pay rises in particular.
