From 28 October, Swiss International Air Lines will expand its network of destinations from Geneva. The most important new feature is certainly the launch of a daily flight to Berlin.
This new route strengthens Swiss's presence in northern Germany, adding to the four weekly flights already operated from Geneva to Hamburg. The airline also offers up to three daily flights on Frankfurtin addition to the Lufthansa routes.
Swiss will also be strengthening its position on the Geneva-Scandinavia axis. These include routes to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Oslo. Swiss not only meets the needs of business travellers from the French-speaking part of Switzerland and the Savoie region. But it is also responding to the growing demand from Nordic travellers, who are passionate about winter sports in our country, by facilitating their access to Swiss ski resorts.
Swiss is not the only airline to offer more frequencies from the city of Calvin to Scandinavia. Easyjet lance two weekly flights to Oslo and Tromsø in Norway and on Rovaniemi in Finland. Norwegian will also link Oslo and Tromsø. Just like SAS which programmes flights from January to Geneva-Oslo.
Swiss will also increase the frequency of weekly flights from Geneva to destinations in the Mediterranean basin. This includes Athens, Marrakech, Valencia and Malaga.
All in all, Swiss offers 21 short-haul destinations from Geneva. In addition to its daily service to New York. Flights can already be booked on the airline's website and through its agencies.
