Since 2021, Air France has been offering Air France Smart Connect, a combined booking platform developed by Dohop. It enables passengers to book an Air France-operated flight combined with a Transavia flight in a single transaction. The product offers a major advantage compared to a simple booking with correspondence. Customers using this platform are covered by the Dohop guarantee. This guarantees them assistance and a reservation on another route in the event of irregularity.
Air France Smart Connect goes one step further. The platform can now be used to combine a flight operated by Air France with a train ticket from the SBBthe Swiss railway company. The booking process is also simple and convenient. Customers access this offer directly from the Air France website, where they enter their point of departure, destination and travel dates. They are then redirected to the Air France Smart Connect platform. They then select the flight and train they want. Then make a single payment and receive both their plane ticket and their train ticket. In exchange, Dohop sends them a correspondence guarantee.
Bookings are already open on airfrance.fr. The six Swiss cities included in the Air France Smart Connect service are served from Geneva-Cointrin or Zurich-Kloten airports. When connecting in Geneva, an Air France ticket will take you to Berne, Biel/Bienne, Fribourg and Lausanne. By connecting at Zurich-Kloten, passengers can reach Berne, St. Gallen and Thun by train. Air France plans to gradually expand its offer by adding further stations in Switzerland and offering this service to customers connecting at Paris-Charles de Gaulle from another flight.
