Sydney Airport unveils its plans for 2019

Sydney Airport recently made official its plans for new developments scheduled for 2019. The main news is the unification of Terminals 2 and 3 for Qantas and its partners.

Sydney Airport is thinking about the future, and intends to review its organisation over the next few years to improve traffic management. Qantas and its Oneworld alliance partners should benefit from a single dedicated terminal within 7 years. The new Oneworld base would accommodate domestic, regional and international flights. At the same time, Virgin Atlantic and its Star Alliance partners would be brought together in the current Terminal 1. The project must now be definitively validated in 2014.
