TAP Air Portugal has also given in to the lure of Premium Economy. From the summer season onwards, the Portuguese airline will be introducing a brand new intermediate cabin designed to offer passengers an alternative between Economy and Business class. It will be fitted on long-haul A330 and A321LR aircraft, and will meet growing expectations in terms of comfort, confidentiality and personalised services.
In its official communication, this new Premium Economy does not yet have a name. But the airline has nevertheless provided some details. The new class, located just behind Business class, will have 12 seats, configured with four per row and no direct neighbours. A layout that promises a quieter, more intimate environment, conducive to relaxation throughout the flight.
Passengers in the future class will benefit from an improved service: it includes a premium main meal with a choice of two hot dishes, the possibility of pre-selecting their meal up to 24 hours before departure, as well as a comfort kit, a premium pillow and high-quality headphones.
At the airport, passengers will benefit from a number of advantages. Priority check-in, baggage, Fast Track and boarding. TAP Air Portugal promises a smoother, faster and more comfortable journey for passengers.
Passengers will also benefit from bonus miles. A very important advantage for business travellers: Premium Economy will come with more flexible modification and refund conditions, an asset for frequent flyers.
