To further improve the level of service on board its trains between France and Switzerland, TGV Lyria has signed an agreement with the EHL Hospitality Business School, the former École hôtelière de Lausanne founded in 1893, which specialises in service excellence. The aim of this partnership is to improve the travel experience, particularly for its business customers, by putting people at the heart of the service through " greater personalisation, fluidity and consideration "says the Franco-Swiss railway company in a press release. It goes on to specify that this will involve a " attentive welcome, the right gestures, an eye for detail "It is also about anticipating passengers' needs.
Training modules tailored to each category of staff
Through various modules, EHL will train Lyria TGV train crews to " transposing the codes of top-of-the-range hotels to the world of rail travel "Some 430 French and Swiss conductors, train drivers, service agents and other people in contact with business and leisure customers are involved.
Implemented throughout 2026, the new service standards will be the result of training based on three points: attention, generosity and precision. All of which should help to increase customer satisfaction on board, which stood at 83% in 2024, and thus customer loyalty. This focus on service is one of the ways in which TGV Lyria is preparing for the arrival of a potential competitor on its services between Paris, Zurich, Geneva and Lausanne.
